It has been a while since I blogged and so much has happened! I had more Chemo and it was really horrible, I was vomiting a lot and lost 5 pounds. I also had to go to the ER because I was not eating and vomiting so much. Thank God that is over and today I'm feeling fantastic! I started to ride my bike again and I'm really happy about that. Radiation is going well. My back is burned from where the radiation exits my body. The Doctor says as I grow the spot will get smaller. Home school is OK, I still really miss going to school and my classmates and I know they miss me because I make them laugh and I make them think. I'm meeting a lot of really amazing people and some of them need me to pray for them and I love to pray for people. PT is awesome and I'm really getting strong. I'm almost back to full strength in my legs. My family and me did a photo shoot with Flashes of Hope it was so much fun I can't wait to see those pictures. Keep praying for me because God hears you too!

ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear from you Simeon! Sorry you had a tough time but so happy you are feeling better. Keep getting strong! We pray your body will be as strong as your wonderful spirit! We just spent a week at a Gospel Music convention. Lots of great testimonies like yours! We praise the Lord for you!
ReplyDeleteSimeon, you are one of my heroes. God Bless you and your family
ReplyDeleteDear Simeon. I met your Grandpa Lavell at a fund-raising event in Pennsylvania recently and he very proudly told me your story, showed me your pictures (he has a TON of them on his phone!) and directed me here to your blog. What a great writer you are! I work at PEOPLE Magazine with a lot of talented writers, so I think I can spot real promise ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy son Jonathan and I will be adding you to our bedtime prayers. He's 6 and HATES feeling nauseous, so I know he will especially want to help you over the effects of your chemo. He's also OBSESSED with Harry Potter and iCarly. Are you a fan of either of those? I daresay he also likes Victoria Justice from "Victorious," but he refuses to let me speak of it (he's embarrassed by his little crush on her), so let's keep that our little secret ;-)
You are such a sweet, prayerful, positive and strong boy, Simeon. I hope that I can be like you if ever I have to face the kind of challenges you surmount every single day. Please keep getting better. Please keep sharing your story with all of us who are inspired by you. And please tell your Grandpa I said hi.
