"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Simeon is a 9 year old God loving, active, very smart young man. Simeon complained of back pain in Oct. 2011 and little did we know what the road ahead of us would be.....not only a very large spinal tumor but malignant as well. This blog will come from Simeon himself. Simeon means God hears. Through this Blog we want to showcase God's power every step of the way!

THE EYE OF THE CHRIST (Simeon)
Yesterday I had to go to the surgeons office about getting the Power Port implanted. The surgery is only 30 minutes long but Mom and me have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am for the surgery at 8:00 am. I also went to the Oncologist office to have more blood drawn and the results were great! Then I had my PICC dressing changed AGAIN for the last time because once I get my Power Port I can have the PICC line removed. I also had Homeschooling today and it was great I'm going to do a fun project about science. Today I did PT and I'm working very hard so I can ride my bike again, I have to work on my balance and strength. I'm walking up the stairs and I'm doing spectacular. Surgery tomorrow and Chemo tomorrow. Wish me blessings! I don't have the "Eye of the Tiger" I have the "Eye of the Christ!" Happy New Year and God Bless....

Sim Sim.....So happy for you having that pic line removed. Nothing can slow you down now partner. Look forward to swimming with you in about a month. I am so amazed with your progress, see what hard work can do. Very happy to hear you are working very hard with your PT.....that makes me feel really good. When I was there just a few weeks ago, I can recall you in need of the walker and assisting you getting into the car and around the house, now you are walking everywhere w/out it and doing things completely on your own in just a short time. Real soon you will be back to helping your mom out with the grocery bags, taking the trash out, helping your sister get ready for school, all that good stuff you get some much joy out of. Keep up the hard work and you will continue to be rewarded.
