"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 43:31
Simeon is a 9 year old God loving, active, very smart young man. Simeon complained of back pain in Oct. 2011 and little did we know what the road ahead of us would be.....not only a very large spinal tumor but malignant as well. This blog will come from Simeon himself. Simeon means God hears. Through this Blog we want to showcase God's power every step of the way!

I LOVE SCIENCE (Simeon)
Today I went to get a handicapped sticker so we can park close to wherever we are going. I felt relieved to get it because it will be easier for my mom and dad with me and my sister. Chemo has not started because I am apart of a research study about the cancer and treatment. I love science so much that I told my mom and dad that I wanted to be apart of the research. The doctors are going to send a piece of the tumor to scientist to look at and learn from so one day I will be apart of the cure. Tomorrow mom and me have a meeting at my school so I can be home schooled. I'm not too excited about being home schooled I would rather go to school but I can't go because I can't have any germs. I'm going to keep hoping and believing God.

Simeon you will like being home schooled after a while. My 9 year old grandson, Matthew loves being home schooled (here in Texas) because he can sleep in a little. I like your red handicap sticker, it looks prettier than my husbands blue one. I also wanted to tell you that I have a titanium toe joint in my big toe. You are a very brave boy and you are doing a great job with your blog, thank you for sharing your journey and your love for the Lord. God Bless you and your family. Give you mom a hug for me.
ReplyDeleteYou are a fine young man Simeon and there is much and more love in your family.
ReplyDeleteKeep your faith strong so you can grow to be a great man.
Prayer is your wireless connection to heaven.
Simeon,
ReplyDeleteGot this blog address from Mrs. Nigro. I love the the idea of you having a blog site where we can keep in touch with you and to know how everything is going. We miss you at DSA but we know that you are where you need to be to get the healing you need. We are looking forward to having you back with us as soon as the doctor allows.
Stay strong and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!!!
Mega Hugs!!!

Hi Simeon! This is so cool that you have created a place for us to be with you! You are missed at DSA and know that there are MANY people praying for you!! I also think it is great that you have decided to be part of the future - through research. That is very thoughtful and mature.

Hi Simeon!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I can't believe all of the things that have happened to you since I saw you last, when you were in too much pain to paint. Your x-rays are amazing. When I was a kid there was a show called the Six Million Dollar Man, who was like a super hero because he had so many robotic parts that were added to save his life. You could be Titanium Boy! I am so happy that you are okay, and that you have such a wonderful family and friends. Your faith is awesome! :) You are in many hearts and minds. Keep up the healing, buddy, and I hope you are getting time to do a little art work in your home schooling! You are expressing yourself very well in your writing. Maybe I will see some of your art work in the future? My best, Ms. Edmonds
